A Patriotic State

Arizona is definitely a patriotic state. In the days after 9/11 we saw a lot of flags everywhere, but people in the Sacramento area have pretty much quit flying them.
In the Tucson area, there were flags wherever we looked--on overpasses, at homes, stores, gas stations. As we drove on I-10 there was nothing but desert. Then out of nowhere a flag appears on the horizon. It was at a truckstop and there was nothing else around--no stores, no houses, nothing. It was a beautiful sight.
